Abbott policy permits us to provide textbooks to HCPs in-line with the AdvaMed Code. We are permitted to provide medical textbooks to HCPs when they are used for educational purposes, as long as they are appropriate in cost and in use. We do not allow for medical textbooks to be given to any HCPs to be used as a study aid to pass medical and/or board exams, as it would appear to be of personal benefit to the HCPs.
